Clifton Taylor

Clifton Taylor

Clifton Taylor leads Taylor Builders, a land development and investment company based in Roseville, CA. Clifton has two decades of real estate and asset management experience in Northern California. Since co-founding Taylor Builders, he has guided the growth of the company by making dynamic project acquisitions and developing an industry leading operating team.

Mr. Taylor has worked successfully with landowners, federal, state and local agencies on complex development projects throughout Northern California. With experience across multiple real estate sectors he brings a passion for community development through active stakeholder engagement. An often outspoken leader, Clifton is known for being an unconventional strategist willing to take personal risks.

He formerly led Richland Communities real estate division located in Roseville where he was responsible for the company’s Northern California assets in the Sacramento Region, Bay Area and San Joaquin Valley. In 2005, Clifton led a team that received a California Department of Conservation Director’s Award and San Joaquin Council of Governments Regional Excellence Award for his team’s work on the largest Williamson Act easement exchange in California’s history.

Prior to joining Richland, Clifton worked on entitlements and acquisitions for Centex Homes. He began his career as a planner for the County of Yuba, serving as Zoning Administrator and Secretary to the County Fish & Game Commission.

Mr. Taylor holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He is active in the community, currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Tahoe Mountain Resorts Foundation. Previously, he served the Sutter Roseville Medical Foundation Board and is also a founding member of the Urban Land Institute Young Leaders Group in Sacramento. Additionally, he is co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of the Lincoln Potters Baseball Club, LLC, a collegiate wood bat baseball organization located in Lincoln, CA.

Anton Garcia

Anton Garcia
Director of Forward Planning

Anton Garcia is the Director of Forward Planning for Taylor Builders. Mr. Garcia engages in forward planning, entitlement and asset management for projects located in Northern California. He is responsible for Taylor Builders’ ground-up entitlement projects, which require a multitude of local government, state, and federal approvals.

Mr. Garcia’s capability within the company is strengthened by seven years of planning, entitlement and development experience in the Greater Sacramento region. Prior to joining Taylor Builders, Anton was the Forward Planner for Towne Development of Sacramento, a subsidiary of Zilber Limited, a national developer and homebuilder. During his tenure there, he worked closely with teams of land-use experts, engineers, and contractors, as well as in-house vertical construction and sales operation managers. Mr. Garcia also played a significant role in HUD’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program, where he managed the rehabilitation of single-family homes in neighborhoods with declining homeownership rates.

Mr. Garcia is native of northern California and holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from California State University, Sacramento.

Ed Morgan

Ed Morgan

Edward Morgan serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Taylor Builders, based in Truckee, CA. Mr. Morgan has 25 years experience in accounting, financing, financial reporting, and strategic planning for mountain resort real estate developments and operations. He previously served as Vice President and Corporate Controller for Mountainside Partners, the developer of and asset manager for Crescent Real Estate’s (Ft. Worth, TX) $1 billion communities in the North Lake Tahoe region. Crescent was the owner and developer of Old Greenwood, Gray’s Crossing, the Village at Northstar, Mountainside, the Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe and the Tahoe Mountain Club. Prior to Mountainside Partners, Mr. Morgan served in accounting and finance roles for East West Partners in Vail, Colorado and North Lake Tahoe. He was involved with all debt, equity and public financing for the company’s California developments. He also managed cash, forecasting, audits, tax, human resources and technology for the company.

Mr. Morgan serves on the Board as Treasurer and on the Investment Committee of the Tahoe Mountain Resorts Foundation which supports many educational, cultural, and environmental initiatives in the Truckee/Tahoe region and awards college scholarships to local students annually. He has also represented the developer on many homeowner association boards through the years.

Mr. Morgan began his career in the management training program at Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide in New York City and worked in accounting and finance roles for Vail Resorts, Inc. and Kensington Partners before beginning his tenure with East West Partners.

Mr. Morgan has a B.A. from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY and earned his Master of Accountancy (MAcc) from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Lydia Carter

Lydia Carter
Director of Finance

Lydia Carter is the Director of Finance for Taylor Builders. Lydia is responsible for and oversees Taylor Builders finance, accounting and contracts management including developer inventory and bulk land transaction management. Lydia is a licensed real estate broker and is extremely familiar with all facets related to Taylor Builders.

Lydia brings 20 years of experience in resort development accounting and over a decade experience in developer sales transactions. She has successfully closed hundreds of real estate transactions assisting buyers, lenders, agents and escrow companies. Lydia began her career working in finance with Lahontan/DMB Highlands group in 2000. In 2003, she was hired with East West, then with Mountainside Partners. Her ability to adapt to new roles and responsibilities over the years demonstrates her motivation to see projects through to completion.

Lydia sits on the Tahoe Mountain Resorts Foundation Board and is the administrator for the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee. The Foundation is charitable funding source and scholarship program initiated by transfer fees within the Mountainside, Northstar, Gray’s Crossing and Old Greenwood resort developments. Funds generated by the Foundation help support local non-profit organizations, programs, community events and scholarships to local high school students giving over $500,000 annually.

Lydia holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Nevada Reno. As a local resident for nearly 30 years, she is passionate of Tahoe’s natural playgrounds both on her snowboard and mountain bike. Lydia and her husband Brad have two children attending North Tahoe High and North Tahoe Middle schools and are eternally grateful to call this place “home.”

John Jewett

John Jewett
Director of Projects

John Jewett is the Director of Projects for Taylor Builders. He is responsible for the master planning, design and development of Taylor projects. John’s management of the portfolio of land assets requires broad engagement with community stakeholders.

Prior to joining Taylor Builders, John spent 13 years with East West Partners and Mountainside Partners working on Tahoe projects including Old Greenwood, Grays Crossing, The Village at Northstar, The Highlands and Mountainside at Northstar.

Mr. Jewett earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Syracuse University, graduating as a Dean’s Scholar. He is active in the community, sitting on numerous non-profit and government boards including the North Tahoe Regional Advisory Committee, Trout Unlimited and the Tahoe Mountain Resorts Foundation.

Steve Hicks

Steve Hicks
Director of Community Planning

Steve, a registered Civil Engineer, possesses over 35 years of experience designing, processing entitlements, negotiating environmental agency permits, and bidding and managing site improvements for master-planned communities and major infrastructure projects in the Bay Area, Inland Empire, Central Valley, Reno, and the Sacramento Region. Prior to joining Taylor Builders Steve was a Principal at Bayless & Hicks, Inc. in Roseville, Vice President of Land Acquisition and Development for Signature Homes/Signature Properties in the Bay Area and Sacramento Region, and Vice President of Land Acquisition for Meritage Homes in the Sacramento and Reno regions. Steve also has held land acquisition, processing, and construction management positions with William Lyon Homes, Shea Communities for Active Adults, Kaufman & Broad (KB Home), and the O’Brien Group, as well as a consulting engineering position with MacKay & Somps Civil Engineers.

Alisha Lanyi

Alisha Lanyi
Operations Manager

Alisha Lanyi is the Mountainside Operations Manager for Taylor Builders. Alisha has more than twenty-years of experience in real estate, resort hospitality and office management. She currently oversees the day to day operations within Mountainside at Northstar including the Rendezvous Cabins and other master planned amenities. Alisha will continue to use her vast experience ‘on the mountain’ in various capacities within Taylor Builders including; real estate transactions and land sales, sales executive and back of the house support, marketing, contracts, administration and vendor relations.

Prior to Taylor Builders, Alisha was employed with East West Partners and Mountainside Partners for eleven years. She began her career at Old Greenwood working as a sales assistant and with hard work and dedication she rapidly worked up the ladder to management. Alisha is known for setting goals, creating positive culture, establishing progressive policies and procedures and implementing them within the organizations she has been involved.

Alisha was raised in South Lake Tahoe, Ca. She has two beautiful girls and a loving husband. In her spare time, she works with her husband in their family owned pizza business, enjoys traveling, camping, golfing, gardening, reading and spending quality time with her family.

Isabel Domeyko

Chief Philanthropy Officer

Isabel is a co-founder of Taylor Builders and serves as President of Domeyko Taylor Holding Company, our parent organization. She oversees company involvement in cultural, youth, environmental, civic, and industry initiatives in communities where Taylor Builders is actively engaged. In addition to leading two affiliated companies, New Economics & Advisory, a boutique real estate economics practice, and the Lincoln Potters Baseball Club, a collegiate summer baseball organization, Isabel is a dedicated community leader. Isabel is a founding co-chair of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Young Leaders Group in Sacramento and currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the ULI Sacramento District.   Isabel is an active member of the North State Building Industry Association and is a Rotarian.  She is also an alumni interviewer for Middlebury College, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts. Isabel previously participated in the Americorps Program as a volunteer for an inner-city Chicago housing organization, after which she earned a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. To learn more about Taylor Builders’ philanthropic activities, please email Isabel at:

Rebecca Santini

Rebecca Santini
Accounting Manager

Rebecca is the Accounting Manager for Domeyko Taylor Holding Company, our parent organization. She has twenty years of experience in accounting and finance including municipal finance, user fee and development impact fee program administration, special district administration, grant reporting and redevelopment agency financial reporting. She previously worked as a financial analyst at the cities of Roseville and Rancho Cordova, specializing in fee program administration, and formed and administered community facilities districts, assessment and municipal services districts.

She has substantial experience in public and private accounting including citywide budget development, general accounting, audit and financial reporting. She is experienced in the formation and administration of Mello Roos Community Facilities bond districts, 1915 Act bond districts, and 1972 Act Landscaping & Lighting Districts.

Rebecca has worked on a wide variety of financings including general obligation bonds, certificates of participation, special tax and refunding bonds. Her work has included technical and analytical work in the areas of accounting, investments and debt financing.

Rebecca holds a BS in Business Administration (Accountancy) from California State University Sacramento. She lives in Lincoln, CA.

Amy Nguyen

Development & Planning Coordinator

Amy Nguyen serves as the Development & Planning Coordinator of Taylor Builders based at the Roseville, CA office. Amy has experience in real estate, land-use planning, entitlements, project management and working in the non-profit sector to help underserved communities throughout the City of Los Angeles. Prior to working for Taylor Builders, she worked at KB Home Sacramento Division as the Land Development Coordinator for 2 years.

As a planner, Amy hopes to improve city and/or regional development to effectively work and communicate with stakeholders, staff and communities; all while using applied experience through her college education and diverse professional work experiences to help gauge the interface of community engagement and residential development planning. Seemingly, Amy will strive to bring these attributes to Taylor Builders in the real estate industry.

Amy holds a Bachelor in Urban Studies & Planning with a minor in Sustainability from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and is native to Northern California.

Jim Brecher
Director of Land Acquisition

Jim Brecher is the Director of Land Acquisition for Taylor Builders. With a decade of real estate investment and acquisition experience, Jim is responsible for the Company’s acquisitions, dispositions, and additional asset management efforts throughout Northern California. This includes leading Taylor Builder’s expansion into additional markets including the Bay Area and Central Valley.

Jim formerly led KB Home’s North Bay and Central Valley Acquisition Team where he was responsible for acquisition and asset management in seven counties throughout the Bay Area and Central Valley. Previously, Jim worked in land acquisition for KB Home in Sacramento and helped grow the Division from a 150 unit business to 500+ new home closings annually. During Jim’s tenure at KB Home he helped acquire over 3,500 new homesites totaling $350+ million in land acquisitions.

Jim is a native of Sacramento and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Finance from California State University Sacramento with an associate’s degree in mathematics and economics. He has built strong relationships working closely with real estate professionals, land owners, engineers, architects, and local agencies. Jim’s education along with his years of experience working in multiple facets of acquisitions, planning, and development for a national homebuilder provide the perfect foundation for his current role at Taylor Builders. He is a licensed real estate professional and active member of the Building Industry Association.
