Martis Valley West

The Martis Valley West Project is a 670 acre planned resort development located adjacent to Highway 267 north of Lake Tahoe. Located adjacent to Northstar California the Project is a combined conservation and development plan that serves to complete a remarkable vision. The Project relocates future development to an area adjacent to an existing resort, significantly reduces the amount of allowable development density, protects highly coveted open space in the heart of Martis Valley and provides outdoor recreation opportunities for the community with public hiking trails connecting to the famous Tahoe Rim Trail and the new Martis Valley Trail. Homesites will offer panoramic views of Lake Tahoe, the surrounding mountain ranges and Martis Valley.

There are 760 approved residential units. The Martis Valley West Project includes establishing a permanent conservation area of an additional 6,376 acres of forest lands to connect over 50,000 acres of contiguous open space from Martis Valley through the Mt. Rose Wilderness Area which achieves the large landscape conservation objective coveted for environmental, biological and wildlife purposes.
